WORK IN NEWFOUNDLAND

In 1989, Dr. George spent three months in the remote Newfoundland community of Buchans. “I will always remember the experience in Buchans as difficult, but also very rewarding,” Dr. George said. He actually had his Canadian citizenship ceremony while still on-call at Buchans’ A.M. Guy Memorial Hospital. Below are a few of the heartfelt thank-you letters Dr. George received from Buchans residents, and an article about the unique citizenship ceremony he received while still on-call at the hospital.
